Friday afternoon escaped from work and took the usual road home the only difference being that I took a left at Thainstone to sign in at the 12th Stri Son Saorsa I drew the short straw and ended up with six names and addresses to fill in as the good little boys and girls I was meeting up with later were all working. |

Job done wristbands in pocket, I went up the park to see if the rest of F-cubed crew needed a hand with their erections. Unfortunately they were finished erecting the tents (Aw and me eager to help!) and Angie was putting the final touches to the bungalow. Time for some food.... I had a natter with Al (Bikers1) and gave Goonz a bit of stick then headed up the road to raid the freezer and found stuff to lob in the micro for Buddha n me. (Beep beep beep the best noise in the kitchen) As Mandy was working late Leo, Claire and Angela were gonna come doon to the hoose and we walk doon to Thainstone leaving Mandy to catch up with us later. This is were things go pear shaped, we started to get jiggy with Dr Smirnoff and his mate Jack D and before we knew it Mandy was walking in the back door, one more for the road and we set off. Mandy was off like a whippet as the bar was calling her name. Angela was the only one able to keep up with her and the drinks were on the bar when we eventually arrived. The rest of the crew were perched at a table in as bad a state as we were. Local band Easily Led was in full flow and Womble kept the night going with the disco. No photos from Friday as I forgot me camera. We were about the last to leave the hall (not unusual) and as most folk were heading for their tents we were doodling up the road to a nice warm bed (a perk of attending a rally on your doorstep) that's about all I remember of Friday. |

Saturday..... Saturday I woke up with the munchies and headed for the kitchen, toast, toast, coffee and toast and I was back in the land of the living. BEEP BEEP txt message from Matty "are you up yet? We are on our way!" Oh feck! I had a vague recollection of inviting the crew up for breakfast. Not a problem headed for the shop for butteries. Kettle on ready to feed the masses, Matty, Mitch Moira and Angi arrived psychoBoB and snake were suffering from a rather good night and were unable to face the walk up to the hoose. Matty reminded me I had volunteered to help marshal the demo run and they set off to get ready. Mandy was to miss the run in favour of heading to the nearest high vantage point to get every thing on video. 366 bikes left Thainstone with more joining as we headed for Union Street. After the run we went back to the hoose for food and then headed for the Commercial on North Street to meet up with Leo and Claire. (See Claire getting them oot on Bikers1) We left the bestest pub in Inverurie about nine and headed for the bar at Thainstone. Dr Smirnoff and Jack D were in full flow once again to the magical vibes of MIND GONE BLIND and once again I forgot my camera but I did remember I had one in me phone so I apologise for the quality of the photos but a good time was had by all. Aberdeenshire MAG (and helpers) I salute you thanks for an excellent weekend. |
