Caramel Starfish 2004.

We met the Starfish crew at the Reckless Few rally and got talking to Craig back at the tents as we were having a we night cap, he was telling us about there rally and if we wanted a good weekend we should get our arses along to Fetternear.

............So we did and you know........... he wizna wrang.

Unfortunately Mandy and me were both working Saturday so we took the car up on Friday night so we could take an early shoot home before I got carried away with Dr Smirnoff. Angela and Looby had their car (they’ve no got bikes but like a good party), Davie had his car and Angi had her car cos her bike was sick, Snakes wife Moira came out to play for a while on Saturday with her car.

Now the above will all become clear later!

Back to Friday……..We arrived to find the rest of the crew had their tents up and were having a beer       (not unusual for F3) Nothing else to do but help ample Angela and luscious Looby get the tent up and crack open the Dr.

Got the tent up to find the twins had been on a spending spree with folding chairs and a folding table to hold the glow in the dark glasses (how cool is at?) Anyway we gave Dr Smirnoff a scare and headed down to the hall.

Wombles disco was on the go and we familiarised ourselves with the bar, had a natter to some old friends and got settled in to rally mode.

Fridays band Ten Tall Men arrived and kept us amused with that age-old favourite

 “1-2……1-2-3….1-2…..1-2-3….2-2-1-2”

Fat Boab was well into the “It’s Friday let’s get pished” mode, but beer, Smirnoff and aftershock is not a good combo when you have to work next morning.

Back to the band and ………… after a few more 1 fecking 2’s they did eventually start and had the place jumping to some good tunes.

They stopped for a wee cup of tea and we thought it would be a good time to go before we started to enjoy our self’s to much, we said our goodbyes to every one and slid off home after picking up a curry and chips from the van.

By all accounts Friday was a hit and we still had Saturday to look forward to.

Saturday....................

Got home from work about half past five, grabbed a coffee stuffed the sleeping bag and airbed into the panniers strapped Mandy on to the back of the Divvie and made our way back.

Most of the crew were in the hall by the time we got back so I commandeered Matty for a shot of his battery operated pump (quite a smart wee thing) It can blow up a double airbed in the time it takes to have two Smirnoff’s.

We made our way back down to the hall to find a subdued Bob still suffering from Fridays beer intake, Matty was quite chirpie as he discovered the Smirnoff agrees with him better than the usual shed load of beer.

Now I remember asking Walter to point out Stuart ( http://www.reckless-few-mcc.co.uk ) as we have been in contact via e-mail but never met. Had a wee natter with Stuart and his better half Carol and also met Mrs Walter.

I also remember Mandy talking gibberish to Abbi     and if it weren’t for the magic of photos I may have forgotten........................................................................................................

Nige & Dom dancing on the seats at the back of the hall, Donald and his erection, Mandy and Angela tying the singers laces together, Maggie getting helped outside (she lost the use of her legs) Scotty getting nodding dog syndrome, Mandy using Tam as a pony and by the look of things a good time was had by all.

Ok back to the top of this report (the bit when I was gibbering about cars) Well the usual awards were given for best club turnout, best bike etc, But there was a special award this year that F3 picked up this will always be remembered as it is our first award.

Yes we picked up the “MOST PUSSIES IN CARS” award, don’t know about the rest of the crew but I thought it pure class.

Starfish crew ……… Thankyou for a great weekend
